The Saskatoon Heritage Society is delighted to present: Saskatoon in Microcosm – a Walking Tour on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 at 2 pm.
This in-person walking tour will be led by Local Historian Dianne Wilson and will depart from the corner of Eastlake Avenue and 11th Street East.
The tour will explore the 500-block of 11th Street East in Nutana, which showcases residential buildings characteristic to almost every major building period in Saskatoon’s history. This collection of homes, built by businessmen, farmers, contractors can be said to present the history of middle-class architecture from 1903-04 to 1949. Builders, owners, occupants include names familiar in Saskatoon’s written history.
