McNally Robinson Booksellers and the Saskatoon Heritage Society are pleased to present the launch of Saskatoon History Review Issue No. 31 on Wednesday, November 7th at 7pm via Zoom.   This event will be hosted by City of Saskatoon Archivist Jeff O'Brien and featuring contributors Peggy Sarjeant, Ryan Walker, Bonnie Dahl, William P. Delainey, Dianne Wilson & Jeff O'Brien   Registration is required to directly participate in the Zoom webinar. It will be simultaneously streamed on YouTube and available for viewing thereafter.   This new edition features a variety of articles and many photographs will be sure to appeal to a wide audience. Heritage Society President, Peggy Sarjeant, pays tribute to long-time heritage advocate and previous editor of the Review, Donald C. Kerr. Ryan Walker, Professor of Geography and Planning at the University of Saskatchewan, leads us through the unique landscape of the Peggy McKercher Conservation Area. Former Reference Archivist, Bonnie Dahl, details the history and role of the recently closed Saskatoon office of the Provincial Archives....

The Saskatoon Heritage Society is delighted to present a Walking Tour of Next of Kin Memorial Avenue, Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday, October 17, at 2pm led by Peggy Sarjeant. This "road of remembrance" is a National Historic Site, dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives during the First World War. This walking tour is limited to 20 participants and pre-registration is required. To pre-register, please send us a private Facebook message (facebook.com/yxeheritage/) with your name, phone number, and the number of people in your party. The tour group will assemble at the second set of gates, and parking is available, either adjacent to the small building on the west side of Memorial Avenue or on 2nd Avenue, north of 33rd Street.
