McNally Robinson Booksellers and the Saskatoon Heritage Society are pleased to present the launch of Saskatoon History Review Issue No. 31 on Wednesday, November 7th at 7pm via Zoom.
 
This event will be hosted by City of Saskatoon Archivist Jeff O’Brien and featuring contributors Peggy Sarjeant, Ryan Walker, Bonnie Dahl, William P. Delainey, Dianne Wilson & Jeff O’Brien

It will be simultaneously streamed on YouTube and available for viewing thereafter.
 
This new edition features a variety of articles and many photographs will be sure to appeal to a wide audience. Heritage Society President, Peggy Sarjeant, pays tribute to long-time heritage advocate and previous editor of the Review, Donald C. Kerr. Ryan Walker, Professor of Geography and Planning at the University of Saskatchewan, leads us through the unique landscape of the Peggy McKercher Conservation Area. Former Reference Archivist, Bonnie Dahl, details the history and role of the recently closed Saskatoon office of the Provincial Archives. Local historian William P. Delainey uses the recollections of early Saskatonian, Robert W. Caswell, to trace land deals during Saskatoon’s “boomtime” era. Nutana Historian, Dianne Wilson, discusses her quest to identify the 1883 Charles Garrison House. Finally, City of Saskatoon Archivist, Jeff O’Brien, delights with the fascinating history of Factoria, the “Magic City.
